View from Ramallah reaction SIR: Our office is a subscriber of The Architectural Review. In your May 2002 edition we read an article which cannot remain without our deepest protest – View from Ramallah. How did you allow, in your editorial capacity, without any protest or comment, the printing of a comparison between a photo taken in an eye testing/fitting room of about 30 pairs of new and whole sunglasses, which were knocked out from a showcase during a military operation, part of a genuine national and military conflict taking place, with the display in Auschwitz of millions of glasses which were taken away from the eyes of 6,000,000 living Jews including 1,000,000 children who were then gased and murdered in the worst mass racist murder ever to take place in human history. You failed, and we are afraid knowingly, to take a stand, not in the political part of the article but in the moral one by becoming part of and associated with this deliberate and appalling comparison.
