The Second International Utzon Symposium will bring together internationally renowned architects, Rafael Moneo, Gerard Reinmuth (terroir), Matti Sanaksenaho, Enrique Sobejano, Lene Tranberg, Richard Weston and Alejandro Zaera-Polo (Foreign Office Architects). The symposium will take place on the 4 September 2008 and will be held at Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum (Museum of Art, Northern Jutland) and the Utzon Center, Aalborg. To mark Jørn Utzon’s 90th year the newly opened Utzon Center, in collaboration with Aalborg University, will be holding the Second International Utzon Symposium on the theme Poetics of Construction, to be held at the newly constructed Utzon Center and Alvar Aalto’s Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum in Aalborg. This symposium will present and discuss current developments within contemporary architecture, as a continuation of the inspiration and principles previously developed in the work of Jørn Utzon.
