The Grasso Brothers’ temporary restaurant ‘Nomiya’ sits on the roof of Paris’ Palais de Tokyo Museum
This transportable pop-up restaurant is only open for a year and holds a twelve-person dining room with panoramic views over Paris. Bookings must be made one month in advance; lunch costs 60 euros, dinner 80 euro - wine included.
The pre-fabricated structure is made up of a glass box and perforated metal external skin, designed to conceal the cooking area. Between these two materials, coloured LED’s illuminate the structure at night.
The 18m-long unit was constructed in two parts in northern France and then transported and assembled in Paris on the rooftop of Le Palais de Tokyo.
