Benthem Crouwel’s Elicium building opens later this month and houses offices, conference rooms and the Netherlands’ largest ballroom.
Designed as a landmark for the city, the building has a distinctive form expressed by the facade’s perforated stainless steel cladding. The four conference rooms sit half a storey above the ballroom and offices stretch over seven floors above.
Daylight enters each storey through strip windows and the fully transparent north and south elevations. The upper storeys offer extensive views over Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district.
