The building is punctuated by a long corridor bounded by a double concrete wall which serves a dual function.

The double-skin wall visually connects the square to the back of the school and identifies two distinct uses - the Auditorium and the Library.

The two separate building functions have clear separation between them giving fire regulation compliance as well as creating a zone-filter.

The auditorium is developed in the under-stair void. It is completely covered in industrial cherry wood panels to optimise acoustics.

Strange building, doesn’t correlate with being Italian, but I’m drawn to the staircase. Like always.
