Residential Winner LAN Architecture
Mina El Hosn, Beirut, Lebanon
‘The judges were impressed by the introduction of volumentric space in this tight, regular plan. When you see it completed, they said, you will want to find out more about it.’

142m high, Mina El Hosn makes an impressive impact on the Beirut skyline, its mirrored facade reflecting the city below.
The exterior skin consists of sliding perforated sheet metal panels with a mirror finish, acting as reflectors and protection against heat whilst also allowing light to enter.
The overall winner of the awards was Jean Nouvel’s One New Change
